I was doing my groceries many days back. While going into the store, there’s this one guy went out from the store via the entrance. Maybe it is not his fault, maybe he can’t read the word ‘entrance’, maybe he can’t see the arrow pointing inside, maybe he can’t see the symbol ‘no entry’ if you’re walking inside out. But, there is this Cambodian guard (I guess he is Cambodian) who is trying to do his job –enthusiastically with his hand gesture saying “tak bleh, tak bleh, tak bleh” while the other hand trying to block this guy from going out.
This guy maybe feel a bit humiliated or simply he is having a bad time, or maybe he didn’t get it from the wife last night, or maybe he is having PMS shouted at the guard
“Apa tolak- tolak orang, apa kurang ajar ni?" he carry on like “jhgfjd$#@^@%^%&.....”
The guard, a little embarrass said “tak pe, tak pe” The raging guy “Apa tak pe, tak pe …. Dfgsdfgsdfg&#%&#^&^^#%”. The guy continues shouting proud to see people starting to gather around to see what happen. The scene ended, when one of the store manager / supervisor calm the guy and bring him inside the office……
What a display! That poor Cambodian guard - I think he can only say just a few Malay words - “tak bleh & tak pe” could be some of them…… he is trying to do his job – he is trying to make a living – sure we can have some MANNERS and respect that.
Siapa yang malu? Mereka dan keluarga mereka……..
On the personal side:
My six years old once commented that I forgot to say ‘thank you’ after she bring me a glass of water, to which later she added “You have to sorry for not saying thank you” ….. oppsss…..SORRY!
