Weight

There was once my weight plummeted 20kg from my original. That was when I carry my first baby and I always believe that my baby will come out very big (based on genes, I will have big babies as all my siblings are born 9lb ++ ie 4kg++). These ideas give me the freedom to eat as much as I want. To my horror my baby came out small, only 2.95kg + 1kg of placenta (yes it weigh that much) + the water & blood – in total I only loose about 5-6kg………. Means another 14kg to shed.

The question: “Am I fat?” pop up every now & then to my dearest and he says “NO- I will tell you if you need to stop gaining weight”. I should have gotten his subtle hint “You have gained weight & still gaining!” Obviously – I don’t.

After my first baby in 1997, I got my second in 1998, my third in 1999 and my fourth in 2001 with about the same time frame between one another. So my plan to go on diet was never materialized and my weight goes up and down like a roller coaster ride. Of course I have to eat healthily for the baby (excuses) and enjoy all the forbidden food while I can, right? Bak kata orang, sambil menyelam minum air la……

Now my youngest is almost 4, I am still trying to loose some kgs. Before it is too late. Before my metabolism rate become slower - coz I'm not getting any younger. Ok! Not to be as slim as before, but I would say to be reasonable in kebaya, comfortable in jeans, not having obvious bulge when I wear something and most importantly for my own self-confidence. After all it's my body - and I have to take care of it right?

Something to ponder: Try weighting yourself on a digital scale. E.g. 58.58kg. Then take some food/water/whateverla. Weight it. Let say 200g. Consume the food. Now weight yourself again.

Question: Why is your weight now not 58.78kg? Hmmmm…
