Sibling

One day. In October. 1972. A lady is having a contraction - One - Two - PUSH!!! One-Two-PUSH!!! The prettiest girl in the whole wide world was born! To her that is. (btw: somewhere 13 days earlier the most handsome baby boy was delivered as well).

From a distance, an 18 months old boy sheepishly eyeing the little baby with lots of question came to his mind. Mummy is in pain- yet she looks overjoyed? Where's the bird? Why is mummy dress the baby in pink- why people gave dolls? Why does the baby have to wear ribbons? Having an adik is bad enough, a little sister? Whoa! That is simply too much!

The baby was oooing at him. What does she wants? She wanted to play? Or she wanted my gun? Ok... Let's play... "Pang!! Pang!! Pang!!" "Huwaaaaa!! Huwaaaaa!! Huwaaaaa!!"

"Angah! What are you doing? Naughty boy!" - The boy got scolded. "Alaa...sayang mak, Jangan nangis sayang... Mari nenen mak yea..." - the baby was pacified. "What did I do wrong? Why was I got scolded? I just wanted to play..."

Poor boy. He grew up hating his little sister. At least from the girl point of view. They are like cats and dogs. She grew up thinking that her brother is "macam best je" - coz he is an intelligent boy. Genius. At a very tender age he knows a lot of electronics stuff. Just like their dad. In school the brother always get good grades. Not the girl - no doubt she got brain - but she never make it to the top. Their mother gave up many times to see them make peace. That was then.

Somewhere along the line - they understand each other. Their destinies are almost the same. When he goes to boarding school - thinking that he will not see his sister for a long time, never cross his mind that the sister will go to the same school following year. Being one of the selected student, he went to UK @ 18. The sister would never match that - she is not the cream, remember? Well, destiny can never be denied, to UK she goes after doing her A-Level locally.

Now? They talked - they met. Don't think they hate each other anymore. Even more - now they respect each other. Air bila dicincang tak akan putus. A fine example.
