There goes another Valentines Day. I've never celebrated Valentines Day - I came to know about the existence of VD when I was in secondary school but I do not have anybody to celebrate it with. I am a comot-school going teenager with big spectacles - it's me being me lor. By the time I got bf, I just couldn't be bothered to celebrate VD, frankly because I don't see anything special in that day itself.
My first bf is my teacher's brother. I met him during my teacher's wedding - love at first sight. You know why? I had a crush with my teacher actually - that typical school girl crush. He is young and handsome and all....... I studied hard in his class because I want him to notice me. He did notice me, the teacher student way, of course. Then came the bad news, he is getting married. Some students went to Kuantan as rombongan sekolah for his wedding (we r from a boarding school in Melaka).
While at the kenduri, apart from the groom looking so terribly handsome, the bride being so pretty, we girls spotted somebody. Our teacher got a younger brother, a photocopy of himself. We are all so excited esp when the brother came and approached us. During the conversation, he spotted a 'friendship band' that I'm wearing. We talk and talk and talk, then the friendship started....... he came to the school once and we went out twice - only when I'm doing my A-Levels..... months after I left school. Anyway he writes to me often. Within that period I met few 'male friends' but without any significance. The story ended when I did not reply to his mails anymore - for no reasons.
In my second year of A-Level, I noticed a guy showing a 'blur' interest in me. I went and ask his classmate about his name and found out that he was the best student for our latest exam. I'm not sure what he was trying to do, but there is no direct attempt to show his interest.
One day, we saw this poor guy walking outside our classroom. My girl friends, tired of seeing his 'blur' interest, dare me to approach the guy. "Kalau kau berani tackle dia, aku bagi kau setin coke" - I remember the exact word utter by one of my friend. Not sure why, I went out and called out his name........ "AT...... I heard that you're one of the best student from last exam - do you mind tutoring me in Statistics?" (Mind you Statistics is my major - and I'm excellent at it!) He stopped, looked at me and say "Yes". We set a date, for the so call tution - I got my coke and the rest are history.
I learned the meaning of love. He accepts me as what I am and had never asked me to change. For that I love him. He makes me laugh. For that I love him. He will never hurt my feelings intentionally. For that I love him. Now he is the father of my four kids. For that I love him. I learned to love him - day after days, month after months. Love is not blind.
On the personal side:
My 4 kids were talking about fart (mind you, they talked about a lot of things) when I interrupted by saying that my fart smell nice. My 8 yrs old, 6yrs old, and 3 yrs old seem to agreed. But my 5 yrs old exclaimed "Mana ada kentut wangi - kalau tak busuk banyak, busuk sikit" (There is no such thing as fart with a nice smell - if not stingy, it sure smell a little). Hmmm...... I guess her love to me is not blind as well..................
