Horror
I planned to go back to my hometown in Seremban today. Plan tinggal plan. Anak yang no. 2 demam balik, jadi instead of driving to Seremban we drove to nearby clinic. There are about 4-6 patients in front of us.
While waiting, one lady came out from the doctor's room with her crying son. Datang duduk sebelah I. I guess anak dia pun demam. Muka mak dia pun nampak tired macam muka I. Dia sebok dok pujuk anak dia yang meraung. I was looking at her smiling. She smiled, then in a split second she squint and her face shows that she saw something terrible. I was puzzled. Tak kan tengok muka aku pun, dia tahu aku tak mandi pagi lagi kot? Ada air liur basi ke? Bertubi-tubi soalan datang ke kepala aku. My instinct console me and give instruction to my brain to toleh. I toleh.
There I saw a young man about 16 yrs of age, standing in front of the reception, got a cut on his elbow and darah jatuh menitis-nitis atas lantai. I was looking with half open mouth. Then only the message got processed in my brain. Yes, that's the bone! Straight through the wide open cut, between the red flesh, I saw something white. Yes the bone. That instance I felt hair standing on my neck. I saw cut before. I'm not afraid of blood. But this one, ewwwwww. The cut was so wide and neat. Could have been caused by something very sharp. Very.
The young man went to the emergency room. 20 minutes passed. Then only they called the next patient. The young man's parents came, and I can hear the mother asking what happen. Few moments later, the young man and the parents went out. Apparently the doctor can't do anything to the cut. It was very deep and could have involved the nerves. She just bandaged it, put the guy on a drip and refer him to the hospital.
The story came out. The young man was trying to leraikan adik dia in form 2 yang tengah bergaduh. Apparently the opponent pegang parang (?) When he stepped in, the opponent libas parang tu and as a reflex to protect himself, parang tu kena tangan dia.
Scary isn't it? This happens in broad daylight in a residential area. What were these people fighting about sampai involved parang. And they are just school going boys! Listening about bullies, teenage murderer, school going gangster on tv is scary. Seeing it with your own eyes is horror! Who do we blame? What is our part to solve this. Unfortunately I don't have the answers. The answer lies within individuals.
