It is Ramadhan again. Time to fast. This year, 2 of my daughters, started fasting from the very first day. On the third day, while I was performing some magic (cooking in half an hour) Angah told me she do not want to fast the next day. (Btw, last year Along fast for 10 days & Angah 6 days)

Why? I asked.
Angah tak larat la ibu, Kawan Angah kat sekolah ajak Angah main, lepas tu dia minum air depan Angah. Lagipun.....yadda....yadda....yadda..... (few more excuses keluar macam hari hujan).

I guess, some motivation will do the trick.

I'll give you RM100, kalau penuh puasa sebulan.
Kalau tak cukup sehari? (Wah, kecik2 dah pandai negotiate)
Potong RM50.
Sehari je tak cukup potong 50?
Yes. And for each day thereafter potong another RM1. Kiranya macam RM50 tu bonus la.
Ibu ni, mana boleh senang-senang nak potong bonus.
La, ibu yang nak bagi. Ibu ada veto lah.
Veto tu apa?
Kuasa mutlak. Ikut sika hati ibu camana nak buat.
Mana ada. Allah lagi banyak kuasa.
Hmmm......

Negotiation went on and on sampai la waktu buka. She decided not to let go her bonus, but tried her luck for the last time.

Camana kalau ibu tak kejut Angah sahur? Mati lah Angah.
Ok lah. Itu exception. Kalau ibu kesiangan aje. Tapi kalau ibu kejut Angah tak bangun, hilang bonus ok.
Ye lah.....

So, conclusionnya, terpaksa la aku masak at least once a day. Nanti kesian pulak kat depa tak de benda nak sahur/buka.

This year too, Along and Angah requested to buy some kad raya for their friends. When Along & Angah were busy writing on those cards, Imran wanted one too.

"Nak bagi ibu" he says.

Once done, he gave me the card. Instead of writing on the card, he wrote on the envelope. Ok la tu.

Gambar ni kat mana?
"Dalam rumah la, kan ibu dengan Imran berdiri kat tingkap rumah tu."

Yes, right. I have to be attentive to details. Potong markah ibu :)
